Job Description
McKinsey Implementation is a rapidly growing capability area for McKinsey & Company. It provides distinctive support to ensure that our clients deliver and sustain the full benefits of McKinsey’s recommended changes in their business. As soon as a project starts, our implementation consultants are on the ground ensuring that implementation success is a priority.
We engage at a deep level across our clients’ businesses, working in small teams of experienced professionals to build the Growth, Marketing & Sales capabilities, systems, and processes needed both to deliver impactful results and to ensure that they are sustained. Our work involves coaching, change and program management across multiple commercial functions and geographies, and delivering lasting outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- You will gain powerful experience across a number of industry sectors (including automotive, banking, aerospace, chemicals, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, high tech, oil and gas, pharma, retail, telecommunications, and electric power) and deliver sustainable change that incorporates McKinsey’s latest thinking.
- You will have an opportunity to build on your previous experience as well as explore Growth, Marketing & Sales topics that are new to you. You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your teams. You will have a partner assigned to you to help navigate your career as well as up to five weeks of formal training in your first two years with McKinsey. Additionally, you’ll receive guidance and support from your professional development team in the selection of client projects, helping you develop your skills and build your network.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience in either marketing, sales, commercial or pricing roles, ideally with team leadership experience
- Ability to build trustful and peer-like relationships with clients and senior management
- University degree
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to translate analysis into recommendations
- Passion for coaching and building sustainable capabilities within client organizations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across all levels in an organization
