Position Title:Biomedical Scientist

Job Description:
The Histopathology section is looking to appoint to a fixed term Band 5 Biomedical Scientist post to cover maternity leave. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals with qualifications suitable for registration as Biomedical Scientists with the HCPC.
Responsibilities:
- People management and leadership
- Procurement strategy development
- Stakeholder relationship management
- Procurement execution
- Supply base management
Requirements:
- Circa 3 years’ experience of a procurement/contracting environment operating at a high level with evidence of applying Category Management principles,
- Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills – with the ability to both interpret and present outputs to influence key procurement strategy decisions
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills, both with external supply base and internally with key client stakeholders
- Record of realising sustainable financial savings and cost reduction together with evidence of
- leading procurements which result in tangible business change
