Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all required shift documentation is complete to the correct standard and timescales (H&S Audits, H&S Behavioural Checks, iPad reports).
  • Dependent on your area, manage and control mis-sorts and damages, 100% momentum scanning compliance,
  • Client SLA’s, load presentation compliance, infeed targets, blockbuster targets and parcel presentation.
  • Supporting the Supervisor with the induction, coaching and training of Warehouse Operatives.
  • Communicating any issues and daily performance to the Supervisors.
  • Supporting the Supervisor with the quality of all manual sortation and its performance against MI measurements.
  • Lead by example in creating a professional and positive work environment for the Warehouse Operatives.
  • Support the Supervisor in the delivery of excellent operational standards and provide Supervisory cover if requested.
  • Attending regular 121’s and performance reviews with your Supervisor and attending and Hub Team Meetings as and when required.
  • Supporting the Supervisor with shift rota management.
  • Leading and motivating a team of Warehouse Operatives (between 10 and 20 per shift) as well as for the operations in your area including throughputs, parcel presentation, productivity levels.
  • Ensuring that all H&S and hygiene requirements are adhered to in the manual area and the Hub in general whilst on shift.
  • With the support of the Supervisor you are to lead, organise and control the Operatives to ensure the required KPI’s are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment
  • An understanding of basic KPI’s and their drivers
  • Good basic Maths and English skills – both written and verbal
  • iPad Literate
  • Ideally previous experience in a Team Leading role
