Job Description

We are looking for a hardware engineer to teardown Smart Phones, Laptops, and other gadgets, to understand how they deliver outstanding performance within highly constrained power and thermal budgets. You will help quantify their competitiveness and how they are perceived by the end user. The insights from your work will help architects, engineering teams and product managers understand how Client devices work and how they evolve year on year.

Responsibilities:

• Capturing data at a board level using high speed DAQs
• Working within a highly automated test infrastructure
• Producing performance analysis and teardown reports
• Outsourcing board level work to PCB subcontractors
• Expansion of our measurement capabilities through purchase of new test equipment
• Working with our partners to align on measurement methodologies and results

Requirements:

• Experience in board level design and product manufacturing is important in this role.
• You should be capable of identifying individual components, thermal mitigations, and manufacturing techniques used within a consumer device.
• These skills are vital to instrument and accurately measure device performance. Any additional background in product integration, test or validation would also be useful.
