Job Description:

Most recently we have completed the £160m state of the art Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital in addition to numerous smaller projects such as a High Dependency Unit, new imaging suites and various ward refurbishments. Current projects include a major theatre expansion programme (an element of which is an Orthopaedics Centre of Excellence), extensive ward refurbishments, a new Day Surgery and Education Centre, a 6-scanner MRI Imaging Centre and further expansion of the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, which is part of the St Thomas’ site.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder mapping and engagement
• Health & Safety / CDM 2015 management.
• Lead day to day delivery of design and build construction projects
• Administration of NEC building contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of
• contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions
• Manage design teams in the development of design solutions
• Design and produce reports to suit relevant stages of the projects
• Responsible for managing project and assistant managers.
• Manage construction delivery within a fully functional hospital environment
• Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations
• agreed at the outline business case stage, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality
• Development of Strategic Business Cases and Project Execution Plans
• Being responsible for and managing the complete project lifecycle from feasibility to hand over
• Initiation and development of project documentation, programmes, budget etc.

Requirements:

• Experience of programme creation, analysis, interpretation and reporting
• Fire compliance / Building surveyor roles are expected to manage £5 k – £500 k value projects.
• Significant experience of line managing project managers in the successful delivery of construction
• projects.
• High quality technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Experience of producing reports on a monthly basis relating to project deliverables.
• Knowledgeable or accredited in NEC 3/4
• Knowledge on CDM 2015 ( Health and Safety)
• The Construction project managers will need to have significant experience of successful project
• management. High value of around £500 k – £20 million and complex construction projects.
