Responsibilities:

• Completing consolidation adjustments
• Production of the annual financial statements
• Supporting the preparation of Audit Committee memos and other documents
• Coordinating the preparation of the audit packs and schedules, managing the audit relationship, and resolving any issues arising from the field work and auditors
• Reviewing Balance sheet reconciliations?
• Preparation of Data Verification Pack for RNS
• Preparation and review of covenant reporting to our lenders
• Supporting the Senior Finance Manager – Tax with queries related to the tax computations
• Completion of Office for National Statistics surveys

Requirements:

• Technically strong with excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and FRS 101)
• Prior experience in accounts preparation (IFRS) and audit management
• Prior experience of listed company reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to challenge established thinking and achieve consensus
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
• A resilient individual, who can demonstrate flexibility in approach; a fast thinker with a desire to get the job done
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Challenging mindset, using training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement
• Enjoys working as part of a team and good at building relationships
