Job Description

This fantastic Job opportunity involves working in our Income Management Team within the Housing Division. The Income Management Officer is responsible for maximising the rental income for the authority by collecting rent, minimising rent arrears, and supporting customers to help sustain their Council tenancies.

Responsibilities:

As a Team Support Worker your day-to-day activities will include receiving calls from people and professionals, throughout said call you’ll carry out an assessment over the phone to identify what action is required. Not only will you provide appropriate information, advice and services to those making contact with the Department, you must also ensure that this is communicated accurately and of a timely manner to management so they can follow up on calls received.

Requirements:

Within this role you’ll need to demonstrate a commitment to working in partnership with people and their carers to understand their needs and accurately gather the details of the presenting queries over the phone. In many instances, you’ll be the first point of contact for people requiring our services. Meaning you must be professional, accurate and calm in all situations. In addition, you’ll have great communications and interpersonal skills to be able to provide the caller with helpful and tactful advice and support.
