Job Description:
If you have experience as an infection control link nurse or a similar role and are looking for a developmental opportunity as a specialist infection control nurse, then this role may be for you. You will have a funded place on an infection control academic module as part of your development within this role.
Responsibilities:
- Support educational components of pandemic in relation to the needs to the staff.
- Surveillance of alert organisms and assistance with the investigation of healthcare associated infections.
- Fit testing- To contribute to the leadership and management of fit testing for staff.
- Respond to outbreaks- Clinical support and response to outbreaks of infection across the trust.
- Staff testing- The post holder with actively assist with test and trace service provision.
About Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust
We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding infection control team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This is a 1 year fixed term developmental role to support the trust during the pandemic.
We are seeking an individual who has experience as a band 6 ward nurse or as a senior band 5 with a special interest in infection control.
