Position Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Quality Engineer works within the Quality Engineering CoE (Centre of Excellence), providing advice and coaching across all RegSys and Core Tech Product Groups to ensure high quality and high performing product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates an end-to-end test strategy within complex development or integration projects and/or programmes to ensure quality assurance.
  • Monitors the testing effort and records and publishes testing metrics required to improve the quality and maturity of the testing activities.
  • Assess and advise on practicality of testing process alternatives, including automated testing and manual exploratory testing
  • Give advice to stakeholders (includes the business and management) to determine the most appropriate testing approaches.
  • Manage all risks and exposure associated with testing and takes preventative action with Product Groups. Establish a Risk-Based Testing approach.
  • Evaluates risk potential based on the results of testing and will advise Product teams on remediation, performing a 2nd line CoE role to Product Group delivery teams2.
  • Initiate improvements to test processes and report on the effectiveness of testing for the division.
  • Manage and set expectations with respect to all testing matters, and measure adoption across Projects and Product groups across Technology.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem solving and team collaboration skills.
  • Good communication skills, able to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Good stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Desire to enhance your knowledge of Lean Quality Engineering and continuously improve
