Position Title: Authentication Specialist

Job Description:
As an AUTHENTICATION SPECIALIST you will be trained to evaluate & authenticate pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Authenticate 100+ handbags and accessories daily in order to verify authenticity for items that could be valued from $500 to $5000+
- Perform online research to discover facts and patterns related to authenticity
- Create or assist in the creation of written and pictorial guides and documentation regarding brand authentication
- Participate in conducting small group information sessions on special topics in authentication.
Requirements:
- Exceptional analytical skills, ability to research and solve problems that don’t often have a definitive answer in a guide-book
- Extreme attention to detail is essential to prevent errors
- Prior experience working with luxury handbag brands a strong plus
- Full and keen use of senses in order to detect authenticity- vision, smell, and touch
- Ability to stand and perform inspections over a long period of time
- Reliability and desire for long-term employment growth
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Experience with customer service communication via email and phone strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to adjust to a fast-paced and rapidly growing work environment
- Flexibility to work weekends as the business demands
