Job Description

Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service commissioned in Birmingham. IAPT services support to those who have depression and anxiety disorders, including a range of other common mental health problems. Therapies are delivered within a stepped care model that is accessible, non-judgemental and responsive to local need. The service is available to those of 16 years and upwards.

Responsibilities:

• The post holder will hold the correct qualifications and experience as listed in essential personal specification.
• The post holder needs to be prepared to do any additional training to acquire a recognised qualification in supervision, and be qualified, or working towards a qualification in supervision.Birmingham Healthy Minds is an exciting, dynamic and rewarding place to work where staff have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, and will be supported in pursuing training opportunities.

• The post holder will be required to hold a senior role within a team of counsellors and therapists who provide talking therapies, counselling services to a broad range of patients who experience mild to moderate mental health problems that would benefit from counselling, with a focus on Counselling for Depression and other IAPT modalities as per the IAPT manual.
