Responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge of and skill in using business and legal English, composition, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Ability to understand and transcribe multi-disciplinary terminologies such as legal, technical, or medical terminology accurately
• Ability to take dictation at 225 wpm with 95% accuracy
• Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm
• Ability to work under stress
• Ability to work independently
• Skill in stenography and office procedures
• Good digital, auditory and mental reflexes to transcribe all spoken words with a high degree of accuracy.

Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills required
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently.
• Working knowledge of legal procedures, courtroom operations, and legal terminology.
• Legal secretarial skills, including typing, familiarity with forms, filing, and telephone work are essential.
