Job Description
The Contract Management Team is responsible for supporting the Department in the delivery of outsourced services, with responsibility for managing the relationship between DWP and external suppliers, alongside working closely with other government departments (OGD) and partners.
The post holder will work with stakeholders, suppliers and partners to ensure contracts are agile to adapt to new priorities and service demand whilst providing value for money. You will be part of a team that manages services that enable operational delivery to customers of Working Age, Pension Age, customers supported by Child Maintenance, while also delivering for the Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt Directorate. Providing assurance on performance and annual expenditure in line with agreed budgets. We manage services through supplier contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLA) with strategic partners.
You will build collaborative relationships within the Contract Management Team (within various geographical locations), our suppliers delivering outsourced services, your DWP colleagues, and OGDs.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to clearly communicate purpose and direction, at times whilst working remotely. Proven experience successfully managing multiple, high priority activities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and share information appropriately. Demonstrates excellent stakeholder engagement by building supportive, trusting, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to consider the wider impact of change and the actions which may affect this. Confident in identifying risks and when to escalate. Ability to interpret and analyse data to make decisions / recommendations.
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise and assess workloads where there are conflicting demands to successfully meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, contributing to briefings and reports to inform senior leadership teams, explaining detailed information with clarity.
Requirements:
- Experience in managing outsourced supplier contracts and/or strategic partnerships.
- DWP end-to-end processing knowledge.
- Commercial management experience.
- Financial management experience.
