Job Description

The candidate shall serve as Department of Public Works District Engineer for the district of St. Croix. He/she will be held

accountable to the Deputy Commissioner of Engineering, (Chief Engineer), and shall be responsible for the management of their immediate staff and all projects and duties assigned to the Division of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Project Managers, Engineers, Project Inspectors, and other personnel under their direct supervision.
• Provide direction and leadership to the Division of Engineering staff in accomplishing all projects and tasks assigned to the Division. Shall be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Department ‘s policies and procedures for project management, including contract administration and Engineering; maintains a close working relationship with the Deputy Commissioner of Engineering and directors of other divisions within the Department of Public Works.
• Becomes personally acquainted with and provides technical guidance and instructions

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and ten (10) years of Engineering experience. Shall have related activities: Continuing Education Courses or Seminars Congress
