Job Description:

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is mandated by the Constitution of the State of Georgia and executes a broad range of services which include, but are not limited to: Jail Operations, Court Security, Criminal Warrant Execution, Civil Process Service, Mental Health Transports, Forgery/Fraud Investigation, and Fugitive Investigation and Apprehension. Accepted applicants will be contacted by a Sheriff’s Office recruiter to schedule the Physical Agility Test. The Physical Agility Test (PAT) consists of the following events: climbing over a 5’5″ wood wall and 3’4″ concrete cylinder, weaving through wood poles, climbing over a 3’10” chain link fence, running up and down stairs, walking a 15’7″ Balance Beam, crossing a 3’10” X 3’6″ gravel pit and crawling through a 3’6″ X 12’5″ concrete cylinder. You will have 70 seconds to complete the PAT course. This posting will be used to fill entry-level Deputy Sheriff positions. Responsibilities:

• Participates in the setup and removal of tables, chairs, stages etc. for daily meetings and classes and special events.
• Responsible for purchasing construction and maintenance related items; accountable for delivery of related financial paperwork to administrative staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
