Job Description

The vacancy available within the service is for a 37 hour post working Monday – Friday and forming part of the weekend ceremony rota, based at Aykley Heads House Register Office, Durham. While this post is full time 37 hours per week, we will also consider requests for part time hours or job share requests (18.5), please make a note of this on your application form or get in touch with the lead officer mentioned below to discuss further.

Responsibilities:

• The post holder will be trained to register marriages, civil partnership, births, deaths and given knowledge to support the various areas within the service
• there will be opportunities to register weddings and civil partnerships, both within the register office and at the many approved venues across the county.
