Responsibilities:

• Collating and analysing information including in-depth data analysis of business performance
• Developing complex models to assess and forecast revenue, costs and operational performance
• Assist in the preparation and compilation of economic business cases
• Conducting research via a wide variety of industry and data sources
• Communicating ideas and recommendations to project stakeholders and regularly engaging with colleagues to evaluate business cases and strategy for business initiatives
• Supporting the preparation of reports and models for internal reviews and submission to the Department for Transport

Requirements:

• A-Level (or equivalent) qualified in a relevant field (e.g. mathematics)
• Possess robust analytical and numerical skills with an ability to define opportunities and problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and make valid conclusions
• Have strong problem‑solving and organisation skills
• Able to build productive relationships with people throughout the business
• Commercially savvy, able to question your own and other’s thinking
• Have a high attention to detail
• Be able to prioritise tasks and positively contribute to projects in an enterprising way to meet agreed deadlines
• Degree qualified is preferable, but not required
