Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Bird Aware Essex, engaging with local communities, visitors, and recreational users of the Essex coastline, protecting the internationally important bird life that rely on its estuaries and coastal habitats.

Responsibilities:

• Rangers cover the coastline from the Stour Estuary (near Harwich) along the coastline to the Thames Estuary & Marshes (near Coalhouse Fort in Thurrock), delivering a programme of public engagement work at events
• schools and out on the coast aimed at reducing disturbance.

Requirements:

• Part of a cross county project, Bird Aware Essex raises awareness of the bird life that breed and feed on the Essex coast, so that people can enjoy the coast and its wildlife without disturbing the birds.
• We work on the coastline from the Thames Estuary in the South to the Stour Estuary in the North.
