Job Description

Cardiff Youth Service consists of a talented and enthusiastic team of professional youth workers & youth support workers who operate across the city. This set up consists of youth centres, specialist provisions, youth mentoring and street based youth work teams that all provide a wide variety of creative opportunities and experiences that encourage the participation and development of young people in communities.

Responsibilities:

• Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for the Council. We aim to support children and vulnerable adults to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be.
• Our services and schools are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and vulnerable adults, and will take action to safeguard their well-being, and acknowledge that children and vulnerable adults have a right to protection.
• This is supported in the general ethos of the Council and all schools.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate will be qualified or working towards at least youth support worker level 3 and have a proven track record of working with young people to secure positive outcomes.
