Position Title: Database Manager (Assets)

Job Description:
We’re looking for an asset database manager to join us and help us manage our large and diverse estate portfolio. With 3,500+ estates across retail, funeralcare or support centres, here at Co-op we manage one of the largest and more diverse commercial estates portfolios in the UK. You’ll join one of the best facilities management teams in the county, and with your help we’ll make sure our estates are more than fit for the future, so we can continue to serve our customers, members and communities.
As our asset manager, you’ll be part of a team that’s responsible for driving our asset performance. You’ll review data from Verisae and Cognos to deliver engineering reports and asset condition data to inform pre-construction activity as part of our capital investment programmes. With your real passion for improving performance, and your attention to detail, you’ll identify emerging risks in a large and complex estate which includes critical environments.
Responsibilities:
- develop, maintain and validate asset management reports and emerging risks within the estate
- manage our asset database, making sure any changes and updates are accurately added in, updated, amended or removed as required
- maintain strong links with the asset management industry and with peers to determine best practice and make improvements where applicable
- support the engineering assets technical insight team, asset management processes and procedures and
- provide all pre-construction information required from FM systems
- provide forecasts and assistance to FM engineering technical team informing planned and unplanned asset investment through to construction projects
- promote and support a culture of continuous improvement in which Co-op strive for ‘best in class’
Requirements:
- a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- a commercial mindset
- experience managing, updating and mantaining an asset database
- excellent communication skills, with a talent for building and managing positive relationships with partners and leaders across the business
- knowledge around asset management / CAFM systems
- excellent analytical skills, with an ability to make sense of numbers and reports and pull out meaningful insight
