Position Title: Marketing Content Manager

Job Description:

Centrica Business Solutions are a leading provider of sustainable and energy efficient solutions to clients in many private and public sector industries. We have a history of sustained growth and we have excellent opportunities for further significant expansion both in the UK and overseas. Responsible for our global B2B product marketing content programme, producing new content and managing/enhancing existing content to build awareness and credibility of Centrica Business Solutions’ suite of integrated energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the value of new products to the wider teams and develop sales tools to help the team
  • Manage the product marketing library, coordinating with the wider team to keep all collateral up to date
  • Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products which involve several different teams
  • Ensure global products are presented in a consistent way across the three regions
  • Create new content for marketing and training materials that simply and clearly communicates the features and benefits of our suite of products, such as presentations for sales to use with
  • prospects, brochures, videos, website copy, blog posts and reports.
  • Produce new product messaging that sets our solutions apart from others in the market and communicates their unique selling point – aligned with our overall messaging house

Requirements:

  • Copywriting: ability to research, digest and write B2B copy targeted to specific personas.
  • Communication skills: ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into simple ideas to engage a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Insight driven: experience of using customer and market intelligence to help develop and adapt approach.
  • Influencing and presentation: able to present clearly to engage and influence a range of senior Centrica stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
  • Collaboration: influence and work effectively with a range of customer and internal Centrica stakeholders and external parties.
  • Agency management: ability to effectively brief and manage external creative agencies.
  • Creativity: experience of defining new and creative customer focused strategies and tactics. Writing ability to produce and publish good content.
  • Customer journey: experience of using customer insights to understand the customer buying journey and how to influence behaviours at each stage.
  • Inbound and digital marketing: experience of developing and delivering successful, digital content marketing, value-led collateral and thought leadership frameworks and campaigns.
  • Planning and performance management: excellent planning and programme management skills. Good analytical skills to analyse, evaluate and recommend actions.
  • Strategic thinking and decision making: ability to connect long term strategy with shorter term execution plans. A proactive self-starter who can ‘take people with them’ working across business units and disciplines.
  • Marketing software and tools: ability to quickly understand new marketing tools. Experience of content management tools, sales content tools and internal Microsoft platforms (e.g. SharePoint) to share content.
