Job Description:
We at LKQ Euro Car Parts are going from strength to strength and continuing to grow year on year. We have had a number of people promoted in the business over the last 12 months into more internationally based roles and the latest success is our Supply Chain Manager.
The Supply Chain Manager’s focus is getting the right stock into the CDC exactly when it’s needed – simple right?
Through the management of three team leaders and a further 12 Supply Planners you will work to maintain our service level in line with the business’s and our customers’ expectations, overcoming various challenges (from Covid, through Brexit and the current global supply chain constraints to mention a few) and all the while keeping the overall stock value within budget. The challenges are many, but the rewards are worth it.

You will be given the freedom to make changes you feel will benefit the company with the support of a fantastic logistics and supply chain team behind you.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the Supply Chain department
- Liaising with Product/Business Managers to plan stock for new and existing product ranges
- Be a leading figure in supplier meetings and measure the supplier performance
- Leading, managing and developing the team of supply chain planners
- Ensuring stock orders are planned in line with demand
- Developing and maintaining constructive working relationship with logistics service providers
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained within budget
- Ensuring CDC service level is maintained to target
- Ensuing proper rotation of stock
Requirements:
- Strategic thinker who has experience of managing a multi-site supply chain environment
- A flair for charting out strategies for effective demand planning and procurement
- Experience of stock planning / ERP systems is essential
- A portion of the team are based in India so experience managing a remote workforce is useful

Our heritage:
Euro Car Parts Ltd was founded in 1978 by Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, a refugee who fled Uganda’s Amin Regime for the UK with his family. At the age of 18 Sukhpal raised £5,000 with help from his father and the bank and set up a car parts shop in North London. Since then the business has seen typical annual growth of 25% and was sold to LKQ Corporation in October 2011 for £280 million. Sukhpal remains an active member of the business having operated as Executive Chairman for the UK business and has more recently joined the main LKQ board in the States as Executive Director. His entrepreneurial flair, passion, high energy, resilience, tenacity and a “will to win” are still intrinsic to the culture of the business.
