Job Description:
Due to continued expansion and development within Europe we are looking for a Product Manager to join our award winning, fast paced Product Team.
The seasonal and trend changes in these diverse products require careful planning for peak selling periods. Our range is sourced from all over the world from a number of suppliers. We require a candidate that has an eye for product opportunities and also a flare for marketing ideas.
The majority of these products sell via our market leading website. We are looking for a pragmatic candidate to join our friendly and commercially focused Product Management Team.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier management to include but not limited to: Pricing updates, Product safety and specification supporting documents, Market trend and analysis, Supplier relationship management.
- Developing and shaping the regional events and campaigns to maximise the profitability of their product ranges. Working cross functionally to deliver growth across all sales channels.
- The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering business growth in line with annual company sales, profit and margin expectations. The duties include:
- Keeping up to date with all product technical information, applications, future developments, product roadmaps, supplier marketing and legislation changes.
- Supporting the delivery of the agreed European product strategy and driving the development of regional plans.
- Providing product information and sales support to the internal sales team. Also aiding the Customer services team with support in handling customer queries.
- Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Teams to fulfill the potential of the category range in the marketplace. This will also involve self-set product targets and forecasting.
- Providing market insights, product road maps and technical updates to the sales and customer groups.
- Life cycle management of product ranges. From identifying product opportunities to managing end of life product removal. In line with company stock management directives.
Requirements:
- 12 months experience in Category Management in a multi-channel organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation and persuasion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical reporting
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter, proactive with a “can do” attitude
- Able to take ownership of tasks and work on own initiative
- Customer focused
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word and PowerPoint) and intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
- Develop business plans
- Undergraduate Degree with Product and Marketing or Business Management
- Strong eye for detail

Euro Car Parts Ltd was founded in 1978 by Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, a refugee who fled Uganda’s Amin Regime for the UK with his family. Since then the business has seen typical annual growth of 25% and was sold to LKQ Corporation in October 2011 for £280 million. Sukhpal remains an active member of the business having operated as Executive Chairman for the UK business and has more recently joined the main LKQ board in the States as Executive Director.
