Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven energy trader to join our wholesale team headquartered in London. This is a full time role that covers 6am – 3pm CDT (typically 12pm – 9pm local time).

As International Energy Operations Manager you will take responsibility for the execution of our trading strategy across US and European markets.

Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed analysis of wholesale markets movements
• Own risk reports and trade positions in line with our risk policy
• Work with the data science team on forecasting of electricity and gas demand and settlement performance
• Communicate with the other teams to maintain and develop our strategy
• Use our ETRM to book trades
• Review fundamental market information and determine potential impacts
• Prompt trade execution for U.S. markets (Texas), as well as support for E.U. markets (France, Spain)
• Optimise hedging within our risk policy
• Share ideas and suggestions around improvements on hedging products and risks balancing

Requirements:

• Trade execution experience covering electricity and gas supply, Renewable PPAs, flexibility assets and renewable certificates
• Data-driven approach and confident using google sheets, prior SQL experience
• Good Python skillsStrong analytical capabilities and problem-solving approach
• Able to prioritise effectively
• Experienced energy trader with physical experience in US and European Power markets
• Experience in market operations
