Job Description

British Gas are looking for Installation Engineers to join our team on a contracting basis, to deliver great customer service as you install and upgrade heating systems in our customers’ homes. You will be offered regular work with guaranteed payment alongside a wealth of technical expertise to support you. We are flexible in the volume of work we provide to ensure you are still able to support your own customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Once you have completed a 1 day induction you’ll be ready to go out to customers’ homes, we’ll provide you with a full British Gas branded uniform, dust sheets and personal protective equipment which you will supplement with your own van and tools.
• You will be expected to represent British Gas; using your technical expertise to complete the work required.
• You should be confident in problem solving and in providing our customers with best advice on how to make energy savings.

Requirements:

• We are looking for extensive experience in full installations, upgrades, conversions and other associated plumbing works.
• Your experience will need to be supported by current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, CPA1 and a full UK driving licence.
• Your company will need a minimum of £2m Public Liability Insurance / £5m Employer Liability Insurance.
• It is important that we do the right thing so we will carry out financial and criminal record checks before you start working with us.
