Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Head of Policy in our Public Policy team based in London. It’s a role focusing on managing the development of public policy positions for the BBC, under the direction of the Director, Policy & Charter supporting policy development, with real impact and the opportunity to influence senior level decision making. This is a permanent opportunity.

Requirements:

• As Head of Policy, you’ll be responsible for managing and supporting the BBC’s strategic and public policy activities. This includes monitoring developments in communications sector regulation and advising on policy developments including their implications for the BBC’s public services and commercial services and practices under the BBC’s Charter and Framework Agreement.

Experience

• You will have senior level experience gained in a policy development or strategic planning role, in a major communications company, a government department or a consultancy. This will be a challenging role so we’re looking for someone who can find solutions to complex issues and situations, offering the right balance of creativity and pragmatism, with the confidence and resilience to challenge assumptions.
