Job Description

You’ll collaborate, inspire, mentor, support, your Digital Publishing team whose work needs to drive the best outcomes for our audiences. You’ll learn how a complex set of systems work together to plan, create and distribute BBC content. Your highly structured work will ensure we understand how the changes we propose to make to our curation, authoring and metadata tools will impact other systems and our editorial users.

For the Digital Publishing team, that means a ground-up rethink of the tools, workflows and technologies involved in creating, describing and curating all of our content — journalism, audio, video and digital alike.

Experience

• Agile BA techniques, defining user stories, writing acceptance criteria, analysing audience and system data, and running requirements workshops.
• Adept at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather product requirements and running discovery sessions with a range of teams and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience of working in a digital product team. Knowledge of technical product management and development methodologies, underpinned by strong software design principles.
• A structured and thorough approach, and the ability to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and be able to explore them systematically.
• Collaborative attitude and experience of helping multi-disciplinary teams to deliver user-focused digital products and services, using Agile methodology.
