Job Description
The Reward team are responsible for supporting the Bank’s strategy to help enable the attraction, retention and growth of talent in line with Bank needs and culture by delivering programmes that recognise and reward critical skills, capabilities, experience, behaviours and performance, and ensuring that our reward systems are market-based, fair, equitable and cost-effective.
The purpose of the role is to deliver expert advice, working with business areas and the wider People and Culture (P&C) directorate to ensure the design of jobs and organisational structures delivers the business objectives and is aligned with other aspects of the employee lifecycle such as pathways for progression.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering job evaluation and related workstreams and initiatives (e.g. job/role architecture),to ensure roles in the Bank are designed effectively, understood, and graded accurately to support effective organisation design and enable robust pay decisions.
- Build effective working relationships with the wider P&C directorate, predominantly linking with the Talent Acquisition and Development team to ensure reward and talent processes are coherent and joined up. This will involve helping to develop a skills taxonomy building on the job architecture in place, to help support broader talent management and workforce planning.
- SME on job evaluation, upskilling the wider team on the je methodology and system.
- Work with the Senior Reward Manager to provide specific metrics and benchmarks to enable the development of meaningful insights around the JE and OD agenda and share these organisational wide insights to inform business priorities
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in analysing job content , job evaluation methodologies and systems and experience of developing and maintaining a job architecture
- Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining job evaluation related policies and processes
- Experience in aligning the approach to JE and OD with other related strategies (e.g. performance, career development, talent management) to help drive performance levels and consistency across the business
