Job Description

We design and manufacture a range of naval ships and state of the art combat systems and equipment, giving customers the capability to fulfil extensive naval operations. From offshore patrol vessels through to the latest City Class Type 26 frigates that we are building for the UK Royal Navy, and the Australian Hunter Class and Canadian Surface Combatant, we are a business that operates on a truly global platform and can offer a wide range of opportunities where you can play your part in these challenging and exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Using an understanding of the business and relationship management skills to influence, facilitate and implement change
• Supporting line leaders on a range of people activities
• Facilitating/supporting/coaching line leaders in execution of people initiatives where necessary
• Working with the broader HR team and the functional leadership teams to create, implement and realise People and Organisational Plans
• Providing operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues and business change, working in collaboration with the appropriate specialist areas
• Investigating and resolving complex generalist type queries requiring using HR policy and business knowledge etc.

Requirements:

• HR qualified or relevant working experience – Member of the CIPD / HR degree and or post graduate diploma etc.
• Delivery of projects end-to-end, generating and delivering plans
• Experience of operating successfully in a similar industry or organisation is desirable
• Previous experience in a business facing HR Generalist role with a broad understanding of HR policies and processes
