Position Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

With our international programmes and core support to the Ministry of Defence our highly skilled teams design, develop, support and maintain a wide range of complex equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex issues and faults associated with installation, commissioning, operation and performance of systems.
    Provide specialist technical advice and guidance to other professionals, technician engineers and/or customers, and works with a high degree of technical autonomy.
  • Production of appropriate technical documentation.Testing software products sufficiently to ensure software product quality is maintained and minimal or no re-work is required.
  • Investigating and resolving obsolescence issues and problems raised during any stage of the development lifecycle, including software and system integration, qualification, and in-service trials
  • Designing, reviewing, developing, testing, documenting, configuring and delivering software products to the agreed standards and procedures using the specified tools, within schedule and estimates.

Requirements:

  • Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • We are looking for strong software engineers from any background with either knowledge of C#, C or Ada or understanding and willingness to learn these languages
  • Experience of UML or similar high-level design methodology
  • Excellent software coding, integration and testing skills
  • Experience of configuration control systems
