Job Description

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Programme Manager in our friendly People Directorate, you will be responsible for coaching apprentices and offering skills support as they progress through their professional development. You will be responsible for planning and carrying out a progress review with every apprentice within time scales, supporting gateway meetings and ensuring apprentices progress towards timely achievement of their professional qualification.

• Proficient IT skills and the confidence and willingness to use and develop them
• Excellent Maths and English skills with the ability to support and develop others
• A willingness to increase own knowledge and understanding learning/coaching practices
• Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of students
• The ability to recognise and be sensitive to the individual needs of students
• An ability to understand the principles of learning processes including barriers to learning

Requirements:

• Experience in apprenticeship delivery and progress reviews
• Existing knowledge of apprenticeship standards
• Experience in the rail industry and a willingness to learn about all aspects of apprenticeship delivery
• Coaching qualification or equivalent
