Job Description

We are looking for a junior or mid-level Java Developer to join our Application Integration team building AWS cloud-native services for Sage IT. You will help build our global commerce platform which is a key component in our product strategy as we evolve to a software as a service business model.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver high quality applications and services using a micro services API first design approach.
• Contribute to team meetings and agile processes including participating in planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Perform peer reviews of colleague’s code, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate on code using Git and GitHub.
• Resolve defects/bugs found during peer reviews and QA testing.
• Take ownership and accountability for deliverables, ensuring changes are successfully delivered into a production environment
• Collaborate with other teams in Sage’s technology group.
• Champion best practices like writing clean and reusable code, following good design principles.
• Automate unit and integration tests using tools like JUnit and pact.io

Requirements:

• Experience with pact.io for integration testing
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Knowledge of other JVM languages like Kotlin
• Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or Time Series Databases like AWS Timestream
• An awareness of agile principles and continuous integration and delivery practices
