Position Title: QA Technician

Job Description
To provide quality support, auditing, verification and control for all site activities within the scope of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) – Actively support and align decisions and actions with OHSE requirements.
- Demonstrate meaningful involvement by integrating OHSE into day-to-day life.
- Actively participate in all OHSE training.
- Ensure compliance with best practice, legislative requirements and all company’s initiatives in relation to Health and Safety.
- Support and carry out risks assessments and inform your Supervisor of any new activity that needs to be performed within the area.
- Housekeeping – Maintain levels of housekeeping and hygiene as expected by customers and defined by the company.
- Take part in 6S activities as required and ensure your working area is always clean and safe
- Operations – Support the different functions within the site as trained.
- Verification and approval of master specifications
- Materials – Approve the release of information and goods
- Control of non-conforming product
- Quality systems – Manage the Quality Assurance process, ensuring adherence to documented procedures and compliance with relevant standards and accreditations
- Understand and manage Internal and External Change control including, but not limited to, Documentation, systems and specifications.
Requirements:
- Paperwork – Ensure that all paperwork is completed as and when required whilst maintaining prescribed levels of accuracy.
- Data collection – Understand the data collection system in place as defined by procedures.
- Record keeping – Maintain true and accurate records in line with relevant standards and accreditations.
- Internal controls – Participate in the development and improvement of SOPs, reference documents and forms.
- Conduct internal and external audits and take part in regulatory and customer audits.
- Flexibility – Maintain a flexible approach to work. Be prepared to work in other areas providing the relevant training has been given.
- Continuous improvement – Actively engage in Continuous improvement, either within personal performance or participating in Continuous improvement initiatives at the site.
- Training – Support other co-workers’ development and understanding through their own training and to participate actively in training programmes as and when required.
- Other Ad-hoc activities as required
