Position Title: Senior Manager Corporate

Job Description:

The adidas Corporate Communication team enhances the company’s reputation and positively impacts its employees’ engagement by developing impactful storylines and communicating them to internal audiences. The Senior Corporate Communication Manager for North Europe is part of the EMEA Corporate Communications Team and is responsible for 2 Zones, North and Nordics.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing the EMEA communication strategy and plan by providing insights and visibility about North Europe.
  • Act regularly as a business partner and communication consultant to the GM North Europe and the North Europe Senior Leadership Team in delivering impactful content for internal audiences based on global strategy and key messages
  • Ensure message consistency and message penetration across North Europe
  • Develop and execute impactful communication concepts to support change management processes
  • Be part of the EMEA Corporate Communication Leadership Team and as such take ownership for the further development and execution of the EMEA communication plan and overall team development in EMEA
  • Create and execute new and improved communication methods and tools for entire concepts, stories and messaging for key events/activations and campaigns
  • Enhance the company’s reputation amongst employees (#bestplacetowork)
  • Provide regular input and updates to the EMEA team and collaborate for EMEA-wide All
  • Employee Meetings, content creation, internal articles, etc.
  • Create an environment which brings the teams to executional excellence
  • Lead the Zone Nordic Communication Manager
  • Oversee all internal communication activities in North Europe (UK, Ireland, Benelux, Sweden,
  • Norway, Denmark, Finland)
  • Execute internal crisis communication based on HQ direction (e.g. COVID-19 communication)
  • Manage editorial content and employee activity calendar in line with HQ and EMEA, and continuously adjust and adapt plans accordingly
  • Oversee the internal communication of all DEI & Sustainability related activities in North Europe and be the point person for locally established ERGs
  • Ensure to elevate and promote key success stories or moments in North Europe to EMEA and HQ via internal and external corporate channels by collaborating with key stakeholders in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Budget responsibility for assigned area of responsibility
  • Lead all the General Manager’s internal communication, as well as deliver support in communicating the business agenda in North Europe across all internal channels
  • Land global key messages and key activations as well as EMEA specific activations and communication consistently across North Europe

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
  • Strong communication skills to negotiate with internal and/or external partners with possible divergent interests and with different business areas
  • Comprehensive understanding of communication and business topics
    8+ years working experience in a Corporate Communication department of a blue-chip, Corporate
  • PR agency or as a business reporter
  • Thorough understanding of internal social media channels
  • High degree of stakeholder orientation and appropriate prioritization
  • Ability to think and act strategically
  • Ability to structure, coach, guide, manage and develop a complex team
  • Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal (quality, consistency and accuracy)
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers
  • University degree in business studies/marketing/communication or sports
  • Ability to maneuver in a consistently changing environment
