Position Title: Clicking Room Supervisor

Job Description

Hermès Distribution France, réseau animé par les marchands d’Hermès au service de nos clients, est une division d’Hermès Sellier constituée du vaisseau amiral ancré au 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré et d’un réseau de 26 magasins dont 8 concessionnaires et 2 corners dans les grands magasins.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the Clicking Room to ensure the smooth running of the department, including problem solving and training of operatives as required.
  • Perform various Clicking duties to aid and support the Clicking team.
  • Manage the weekly Clicking plan from conception through to implementation working with Planning and the Leather Purchasing team. Leather ut1lisation reporting including investigation into abnormalities.
  • Prioritize the work to meet production-planning targets including urgent tickets, samples etc.,
  • Generate weekly reports of operatives’ outputs against targets.
  • Ensure standards of work and quality of results are maintained in the department. Identify patterns of poor work and take remedial action and/or re-training.
  • Liaise with the Factory Manager, Technical Manager and Quality Department to address specific quality problems and implement improvement initiatives.
  • With the input from the Team Leader maintain a skills matrix and deliver training and coaching to employees in a planned manner.
  • Be flexible in working hours to meet business needs as and when appropriate.
  • Ensure departmental machinery and equipment is in good working order and all Health Safety activity is being applied.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the shoe industry (or similar) as a clicker and supervisor.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • A responsible and conscientious attitude.
  • The ability to plan and priorities the work.
  • Calmness under pressure.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Accuracy in recording data.
  • IT skills, as relevant to the job.
