Position Title: Depot Operations Administrator

Job Description:

In this role you will work closely with the Depot Quality Manager and Site Manager where you will be accountable for the administration to both; Transport and Operational areas of the depot.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Depot Operations Administrator, to strengthen our amazing administration team. This role will be based from our Depot in Cardiff CF3 2ER

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out local operational quality audits and maintaining operational reports
  • Administering stocks of uniforms and stationery
  • Administering fuel stocks and orders
  • Maintaining vehicle records, keys, service schedule and defect/repairs register
  • Carrying out Driver License and Forklift Truck certificate checks
  • Monitoring & reconciling automated payments for our “self employed” drivers

Requirements:

  • You will primarily work Monday to Friday however our depots are operational 7 days a week so you may be required to work occasional weekends as busy periods.
  • Your typical working hours will be 08:00 to 15:30.
  • You will have a comprehensive induction to DPD where we will go through the key processes that are required to make you a successful administrator.

  • You will have strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and have a willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to help your depot achieve ever-greater heights.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, self-motivation and organization.
  • You will have strong analytical skills with an awareness of quality assurance and auditing.
  • Excellent administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office programmes
  • You will have proven and demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced administrative role ideally gained within the transport industry (but this is not essential).
