Position Title: Depot Management Development Programme

Job Description:
You will experience a comprehensive 8 week induction and full training to gain exposure to all areas of running a successful parcel delivery operation, including people management, planning, transport legislation, security, HR and health and safety in a 24/7 – 365 Business
Starting your career on a comprehensive 12 month development programme, you will develop your management skills within this fast-paced delivery environment in all positions that report to an Operations Manager, including 3 month rotations on AM (nights), PM (afternoons) and Dispatch (Mornings) sections in your base depot.
As part of a wider strategic depot network infrastructure plan, we are seeking resilient, dynamic and enthusiastic candidates who demonstrate leadership qualities to be able to take our business forward.
As it enters its seventh year, the current DPD group Network Graduate development program has now gained accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics. This endorsement not only recognises the benefits of the development scheme, it will also provide support and networking opportunities for our aspiring future leaders. CILT accreditation ensures a structured scheme as well as supporting continuous professional development through the three years of the programme.
Responsibilities:
- If successful you can look forward to the exciting prospect of joining an increasingly successful and expanding business, that through its constant innovation, has revolutionized the express parcel industry and continues to define its outlook for the future.
- After successful completion of the 1st year programme you will be appointed to Shift Manager and then have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge over the next two years with a view to progressing to an Operations Manager position.

Requirements:
- Be resilient and enthusiastic

- As the successful graduate you will be educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 Classification or equivalent.
- Be flexible to accommodate the high-volume nature of the role
- Hold a full driving license.
- Be able to work days, nights and weekends in a demanding and high pressure environment.
- Be open to relocation.
