Job Description

The Business Analyst will act as the conduit between the Product Managers, Project Manager, Principal Software Engineer and Software Engineering Team to help translate the product vision and requirements into deliverable product.

Requirements:

• Investigate and evaluate solutions using a range of approaches, including researching competitor products, commercially available solutions, other BBC products and services.
• Analyse and document business processes & workflows. Identify opportunities for streamlining and improvements.
• Work with Product Management to build business cases and provide cost estimates for them.
• Collaborate and interact with delivery teams contributing to the definition and delivery of the product and supporting processes/workflows.
• Work with the Executive Product Manager, Developers, and UX team to break down the epics and create deliverable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Experience

• Ability to form effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders – who are usually the clients of our products, or teams whose products we depend on
• Expertise in business analysis; the processing of complex requirements into deliverable work packages for the software engineering team
• Ability to identify improvement to business and project processes, collaborative techniques and other methods of ensuring team cohesion and clarity of purpose
