Position Title: Assistant Restaurant General Manager

Job Description:

As an Assistant Restaurant General Manager you will be “wingman” or woman to the Restaurant General Manager. You’re an authentic brand ambassador who also happens to love our chicken and chips. Because our restaurants are so popular and busy, we need strong management teams to ensure the stores run efficiently and achieve set goals.

As an Assistant Manager you will work hand in hand with our Restaurant Managers to inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service and also help drive the profitability of the store. This isn’t a back office job, prepare to roll your sleeves up and engage with our amazing customers and get involved with food preparation! You will also be involved in stock takes, deliveries, banking / finance duties and assisting in the training and development of the team!

Let’s not forget the progression opportunities! You will manage the restaurant in the General Managers absence and you will also be considered for any Restaurant Management / Senior roles that arise!

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to drive sales and increase profitability
  • Coach, mentor and motivate the team to achieve amazing results and delegate tasks
  • Ensure our famous chicken is cooked and served exactly how the colonel intended
  • Be happy, friendly, smile and have fun
  • Assist with training new colleagues and welcoming them into the team
  • Provide a fantastic customer service experience
  • Ensure that our restaurants look presentable and vibrant
  • Complete administration, stock take and banking & finance duties

Requirements:

  • The ability to bring people together and foster a one team mentality
  • Senior stakeholder engagement
  • The successful candidate will have proven analytical skills and financial acumen, as well as a methodical approach to problem solving teamed with a drive for results
  • Proven track record in Procurement and negotiation
  • A self-starter who over-indexes on ownership and accountability
  • Commercial minded
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to defectively influence key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical and diligent approach
  • You’ll have an understanding of the balance between the external pressures and demands of stakeholders – and the internal pressures of a commercial business.
  • Proven experience in leading projects and driving value
  • Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good team focus – creating collaborative cross functional working relationships across the business

You’ll be empowered to partner with your RGM to run your restaurant like you own it.
