Job Description

The selected candidate will work in collaboration with key internal stakeholders to drive HEMAR Policy across EMEA. Key areas of focus involve monitoring policy developments, providing HEMAR input to the EU legislative and policy agenda, content development, development of policy positions, delivering research to inform policy debates, building internal capabilities, driving the debate for policy reform through external engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Generate evidence to support our organisation in driving the debate for VBHC.
• Monitor health and pharmaceutical expenditure trends
• Track access related policy developments and communicate these internally.
• Conduct access related policy research
• Enhance internal knowledge around HC systems and the economics of healthcare.
• Contribute to the HEMAR Policy Strategy
• Liaise closely with other functions (Comms, GA&P, Legal etc.), OpCos and TA’s to align on policy priorities and develop relevant action plans to drive VBHC
• Develop and execute external engagement plans (e.g. publications, panels at conferences, round tables etc.) to drive the debate around policy priority areas.
• Partner with colleagues from TA’s as needed to support evidence development and policy shaping in the respective areas.
• Participate in external engagement events, discussions and share insights and learnings
• Develop/ contribute to/ review presentations required for internal and external meetings
• Review documents, presentations, publications, and coordinate internal review processes as needed
• Support development of capabilities across our OpCos (communicating information and materials, organising training sessions etc.)
• Support the HEMAR Policy functional network
• Set up contracts as needed with external vendors to deliver projects (to include RFP, contracting, HCC processes etc.) and supervise consultant work
• Track project progress and budgets and ensure contractual processes are adhered to and budget spend commitments are met.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of Health Care systems
• Ability to create alignment across functions and geographies and work constructively with diverse groups in a complex matrix.
• Excellent networking, listening, presentation, negotiation, and scientific writing skills.
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to think out-of-the-box and propose creative and solid solutions to address complex problems.
• “Make it happen” and “roll up the sleeves” mentality, drive and motivation, persistence to achieve goals, and real team player.
• Open to change with a flexible attitude to be able to handle a complex, multiple stakeholder environment, both internally and externally.
