Position Title: Developer Relations Engineer

Job Description
Passionate people are everywhere at Google. In Developer Relations, we get excited to collaborate and connect with the communities that love technology as much as we do. Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Programs Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally at Google. Not afraid to be hands-on, you write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. Internally, you work with product engineering teams improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features. Chrome, Android, App Engine, HTML5 as well as our core Google Apps and Ads APIs are just some of the platforms you promote and support.
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external developer partners on integrations across Google’s platforms.
- Work closely with developer partners and Google Product teams to spec, develop and launch features with deep impact on the ecosystem.
- Provide engineering direction and support to design, build and launch new feature integrations with partners.
- Lead regular, engineering-focused meetings with partners to help them design new systems, troubleshoot partner issues and provide innovative solutions, improve UX and solve complex code problems at a scale of millions of users.
- Work on the core source code of Google’s products with other Engineers to identify, reproduce and/or resolve issues that are affecting top partners.
Requirements:
- Experience working with third-party developers to launch large-scale integration, conducting technical workshops/hackathons, and providing technical advice to large companies.
- Experience working in a support or consulting relationship with customers.
- Experienced in Android development and testing.
- Experience as a software developer, architect, technology advocate, CTO, or consultant working with mobile technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.
- Effective public speaking skills, with experience presenting to large technical audiences.
