Position Title: Insurance and Claims Administrator

Job Description

We are looking for an Insurance and Claims Administrator to join our Insurance Team within Finance at DPD. You will be required to support and assist the Insurance & Risk Manager with the proactive management of the company’s insurance programme. This will be based in our Smethwick Head Office (B66 1BY).

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking the handling and processing of allocated motor and other claims and to ensure these are dealt with efficiently within laid down timescales and resolved in the best interests of the organisation.
  • Maintaining the company insurance system with all relevant information and documentation.
  • Undertaking the investigation of claims and liaise with claimants, insurance carriers and appropriate departments of the organisation.
  • Undertaking such general administrative work in relation to all insurance policies and claims as may be allocated from time to time by the Insurance & Risk Manager.
  • Providing assistance to other areas of the business in relation to insurance queries

Requirements:

  • A confident telephone manner and excellent relationship building skills
  • High levels of self-motivation and initiative to resolve problems.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • A willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed expectations.
  • The ability to work in a pressurised environment and manage own workload.

About DPD UK

experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries.
You will have the ability to run a fast paced operation, managing and motivating high performing operational teams.
Experience of monitoring performance, with the ability to analyse data in order to identify improvements and successfully implement change.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence strategy.
