Job Description

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join Durham County Council’s fostering service. The fostering service is responsible for the recruitment, training and support of foster carers across the county, both mainstream foster carers and family and friends foster carers.

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of the role is to complete all aspects of the recruitment process relating to people wanting to become foster carers.
• This includes the completion of high-quality Form F assessments, in line with the Fostering Service (England) Regulations 2011 & subsequent amendments.
• You may also be involved in providing ongoing supervision and support to mainstream foster carers.
• The role is dynamic and interesting which also offers the opportunity to be involved in the recruitment and training of foster carers, working alongside care experienced young people, attending fostering events as well as opportunities for career development and progression within the service.
